The International Federation of Padel (FIP) is introducing significant changes to its tournaments in 2025, affecting both categories and prize money. Here is a comparison of the main changes between 2024 and 2025.
Tournament Categories
In 2024, FIP tournaments were classified into five main categories:
- FIP Platinum
- FIP Gold
- IFJ Star
- FIP Rise
- Fip Promotion
In 2025, the categories will change structure and will be as follows:
- FIP Platinum
- FIP Gold
- FIP Silver (new category)
- FIP Bronze (new category)
The FIP Star thus becomes a FIP Silver. And the FIP Bronze is the former FIP Rise, certainly the best-known category of the FIP Tour. The FIP Promotion disappears completely.
Prize Money in 2024
The minimum prize money amounts for each category were as follows:
- FIP Platinum : €120 000 or €60 (men) and €000 (women)
- FIP Gold : 50 000€ or €25 (men) and €000 (women)
- IFJ Star : 25 000€ or €12 (men) and €500 (women)
- FIP Rise : 15 000€ or €6 (men) and €250 (women)
- Fip Promotion : 5000€ or €2 (men) and €500 (women)
Prize Money in 2025
Prize money is decreasing for some categories. Here are the new ranges announced:
- FIP Platinum : Between €120 000 et €150 000 in total.
- FIP Gold : Between €50 000 et €80 000 in total.
- FIP Silver : Between €15 000 et €30 000 in total.
- FIP Bronze : Between €7 000 et €10 000 in total.

- IFJ Star, FIP Rise, and Fip Promotion disappear in favor of new categories FIP Silver et FIP Bronze.
- Prize Money increases overall in 2025 for Platinum and Gold categories.
- On the other hand, for the Bronze and Silver tournaments, the Prize Money is decreasing even if for the FIP Silver, some organizers will be able to offer up to €30 compared to €000 in 25.
- For the Prize Money of a FIP Rise (€15) today, we can obtain a FIP Silver at €000.
- The distribution of categories becomes more simplified and harmonized.
