Shortly after have ended their professional career, the “Gemelas Atómikas” created a surprise by announcing a new project. In a promotional video posted on social media, Mapi and Majo Alayeto revealed the launching their own school padel, dedicated to training the future stars of this sport.
The two sisters, emblematic figures of padel women, have decided to pass on their passion, their knowledge and their experience to new generations, after turning the page on their career in the field.
With an impressive record of 32 international titles, the Aragonese are the second most successful pair in the history of padel women's, just behind Ari Sánchez and Paula Josemaría, who recently broke their record at the last tournament of Premier Padel.
The school of padel of the Alayeto sisters will be located at the Montecanal Centro Deportivo, a sports complex with 10 tracks, in Zaragoza. Although details of the academy have not yet been widely disclosed, this project is a testament to their desire to contribute to the development of padel, particularly in their native region, and to offer high-level training to young players.
