Le Premier Padel Legend Tour, organized by Premier Padel in collaboration with the president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, offered an important event as part of the Qatar Grand Prix 2024This edition, which brought together legends of the sport, was held in the sumptuous setting of the Waldorf Astoria Lusail.
A line-up of international stars
Participants include global icons such as tennis champion Novak Djokovic, the double Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen, as well as renowned F1 drivers like Lando Norris, George Russell et Oscar piastriThe tournament also hosted football stars including the legendary Luis Figo, Marco materazzi, and iconic figures like the basketball player Tony Parker and the Qatari Olympic gold medalist Mutaz Barshim.
A major promotional campaign
Since its launch in 2022, the Premier Padel Legend Tour stands out for its innovative concept: introducing padel, growing sport, to leading figures in emblematic locations. The November edition is part of this line, after memorable events, notably on board the aircraft carrier Giuseppe Garibaldi in Italy and in Grand Egyptian Museum facing the pyramids of Giza. These initiatives mark the ambition of Premier Padel to position the sport on the world stage, with a view to possible inclusion in Olympic Games.
The ambition of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President of Premier Padel, results in the participation of many influential personalities, such as Stefano domenicali, CEO of Formula 1, and former tennis greats, such as Fernando Verdasco et Gaston Gaudio.
