How is a padel ranking calculated for the 2016 / 2017 season? what are the principles?

Extract from the 2017 competition guide:

There are two Padel rankings: a men's ranking and a women's ranking.

Warning: mixed events are not taken into account in the ranking calculation.

For each player, the best 6 tournaments or championships played during the sports year will be taken into account.

The ranking is individual. This is a rank of 1 to N.

To calculate the weight of a team, it is necessary to add the rankings of Padel of the 2 players composing the team.

A player Unclassified Padel will have a ranking equal to the rank of the last player of the French ranking + 1. So the lower the weight of the team, the stronger the team.

(Example: If the last ranked player is N ° 1450, a team consisting of two Unclassified Padel players will have a weight equivalent to 1451 + 1451 = 2902.

We must add the ranks (rankings) and not the points of each player.

In case of equal weight, the Referee is free to nominate the strongest team.

Warning: if a foreign player is not classified in the Padel in France (or has a very low ranking but has a very good ranking at the international level -RankingFIP-International Padel Federation), an assimilation of ranking can then be issued to this player, reflecting his level of play at best. In this case, thank you kindly approach the Competition
