Sisters Neila and Feryel Bekhedda (TS2) beat the number 1 seed, Zia Debroy and Augustine Charpentier, and finally become French U16 champions!

It must be said that the Parisians had been chasing this title for two years already. In the 2023 Interligues, they had secured a 3rd place, in 2024, they had lost in the final, and it was in 2025 that they managed to achieve this by winning the national title.

"A title that feels good because we've been trying to achieve it for two years without success," explains Feryel, who wants to thank her twin sister for her decisive role in the final:

"I'm very happy with this title, but I have to be honest, I didn't play a good match. I can thank Neila who managed to hold on and allow us to win."

The twins knew they had the means to win against a pair they had already beaten in straight sets at the 2024 French Championships.

While they acknowledge that their overall level of play was not exceptional throughout the tournament, they found the resources to win this title.

Coach Thomas Mitjana does not hide his satisfaction:

"We knew we had to be mentally strong, even when the game wasn't necessarily there. They showed that they had the mental strength and that they were real competitors. They were able to turn things around in the second set by committing far fewer errors than their opponents."

The Île-de-France league players are returning home with the title. There's no doubt that the Pyramides Club is preparing to throw them a great party to celebrate this victory.
