Le  FIP Platinum Tirana  This week, things get to the heart of the matter with the launch of the main painting in a completely unique setting. Installed in the very heart of the famous  Skanderbeg Square  In Tirana, the Albanian tournament is shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the season on the  CUPRA FIP Tour .

With four outdoor courts, free access for the public and the presence of many top-ranked players in the world, Albania becomes for a few days one of the centers of international padel.

 A huge international lineup 

The tournament brings together:

  •  19 players from the men's world Top 30 ,
  • and  14 players from the Women's World Top 30 .

A very strong field for a Platinum event, the most prestigious category on the FIP circuit outside Premier Padel.

The winners will leave with:

  •  300 FIP points ,
  • a very important total for the world ranking.

 Stupaczuk and Yanguas favorites among men 

In the men's draw, all eyes will be on the top seeds, consisting of  Franco Stupaczuk / Mike Yanguas .

Both players will start against:

  •  Luis Hernandez / Javi Martinez  ou  José Diestro / Ignacio Piotto .

In the lower part of the table, we also find another very strong pair:

  •  Coki Nieto / Jon Sanz .

They could start against:

  • young talents  David Gala / Enzo Jensen , or  Alvaro Melendez / José Luis Gonzalez .

 Leal and Guerrero are out, Di Nenno is highly anticipated. 

Other closely watched pairs:

  •  Javi Leal / Fran Guerrero Initially seeded 3, they will ultimately not be present at this tournament, so Bergamini and Garrido will take their place in the draw.
  • and  Martin Di Nenno / Jairo Bautista .

Bergamini and Garrido could notably cross paths with:

  •  Arce / Arroyo , or  Rubini / Sanchez .

Di Nenno and Bautista will face:

  • a pair resulting from the qualifiers, or  Teo Zapata / Facundo Dominguez .

A particularly strong men's draw with several very open matches from the early rounds.

 Salazar and Alonso lead the women's draw 

In the women's competition, the top seed will consist of:

  •  Ale Salazar / Ale Alonso .

The Spanish team will start against:

  • to a pair from the qualifiers or against  Anastasiia Rhyzova / Camila Fassio .

 Osoro, Virseda, Guinart and Goenaga present 

Other top favorites in the tournament include:

  •  Marina Guinart / Veronica Virseda  (TS2),
  •  Bea Caldera / Carmen Goenaga  (TS3)
  • and  Aranza Osoro / Victoria Iglesias  (TS4)

The women's draw also promises a huge level of competition from the round of 16 onwards, with several very strong pairs from the international circuit.

 A unique setting in the heart of Tirana 

Beyond the sporting aspect, the tournament is most impressive for its setting.

The legendary  Skanderbeg Square , in the center of the Albanian capital, has been completely transformed into a veritable padel village with:

  • four outdoor courts,
  • stands,
  • animations,
  • and free entry for spectators.

A new symbol of the global development of padel, supported by the  International Federation of Padel , in collaboration with the Albanian Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Culture.

The main tournament will take place from  26 to 30 may , with several highly anticipated matches right from the early rounds.
