The top seeds are too strong, no more French players are competing in the Bordeaux P2 qualifiers

There will no longer be any French women in the qualifying rounds of the Bordeaux Premier Padel P2 Despite several French players competing on Monday, all of them fell in their first match, each time against... heads of series previas.

A frustrating day, of course, but the French women faced tougher opposition, with very challenging matches right from the first round.

Bahurel / Val Lopez stopped by the 8th seed

Louise Bahurel , associated with the Spanish Ivet Val Lopez , had a big challenge facing Lucia Peralta Exposito / Maria Laura Ferreyra , seeded 8 in the qualifiers.

Marcarie/Senjean defeated by the 6th seed

Same observation for Manon Marcarie / Cassandra Senjean , opposed to the seed 6 Mónica Gómez Rivas / Marta Arellano Navarro .

The French women were unable to turn the game around and lost. 6 / 2 6 / 3 in 55 minutes. Facing an experienced Spanish pair, they lacked the solutions to really establish their game.

Soubrié / Ligi entries as alternate

A pleasant surprise nonetheless: Charlotte Soubrié / Fiona Ligi were able to enter the qualifying rounds thanks to their status as alternate .

But here too, the draw was very difficult. The French women faced the number 1 seed from the qualifiers, Araceli Martinez / Laura Lujan Rodriguez , recent winners of the FIP Gold of Abidjan .

Soubrié and Ligi fought well, but were defeated. 6 / 2 6 / 4 in 1 hour 05 minutes against a pair who were clearly favorites in these qualifiers.

With these three defeats, there are no longer any French women left in the running in the Women's qualifications from Bordeaux P2.
