From 1er March The French Tennis Federation will officially introduce the P50 tournaments in the pyramid of sanctioned padel competitions. A new intermediate category that complements the existing offering and further refines the structure of the amateur circuit.

Approval overseen by the FFT
As with all official competitions, P50 tournaments can be organized by the FFT, leagues, departmental committees, affiliated clubs, or authorized structures. However, one condition remains essential: the organizing club must have at least one approved padel court , declared in the federal administrative database.
In the case of tracks temporarily installed for an official competition, a prior validation by the league or the relevant committee will be mandatory, in order to guarantee compliance with current standards.
A new building block in the tournament hierarchy
With the introduction of the P50 level, the FFT continues to clarify competition levels. The categories of approved padel tournaments are now structured as follows:
- P25
- P50
- P100
- P250
- P500
- P1000
- P1500
- P2000
These categories are distinguished in particular by the number of points awarded in the ranking and, for the highest levels, by the prize money distributed .
Some events select pairs based on ranking, while some men's competitions also allow female players to participate. according to specific rules defined by federal regulations.
Beyond the tournaments, the FFT reminds us that the pairs championships and team championships They too are taken into account in the calculation of the ranking, with a valuation adapted to their level and their sporting importance.
