In any article , whether in a specialist or general newspaper, you will read that padel has become more democratic during the Covid-19 crisisThe number of players has increased drastically, particularly in France, and the interest in this emerging sport has evolved just as much.

Another way to show the rise of padel in France is to head to Google Trends, an application from the web giant that shows searches made on the Internet and the evolution of demand.

For example, we would like to see the evolution of the search for “padel” in France over the last five years.  Here is what it gives: 

With the graph generated by Google Trends, we actually realize that before October 2021 (before the second lockdown), interest in padel in France was very low. From  October 17th 2021 , we see that the trend is accelerating and this, in a progressive manner until reaching a very significant interest nowadays.

This graph is also proof that padel is, even today, at the center of attention and that this trend is really on the rise!

In 10 years, on a global scale, we see that the increase occurred a little earlier, during the first wave of Covid-19.
