The final of  FIP Bronze Castellón  finished,  Thomas Leygue  et  Aris Patiniotis  headed towards Rome. The two men then proceeded without transition to the  Italy Major qualifications , the second Major of the season on the circuit Premier Padel.

Top seed in qualifying thanks in particular to  protected classification  Thomas Leygue's pairing begins this Monday with a challenging first test.

For their opening match, they will face the Spanish.  Rafael Mendez  et  Diego Dorta Diaz , a team accustomed to the FIP circuit and Premier PadelDorta Diaz had, in fact, toured South America with Thomas Leygue. This draw is far from easy for Leygue and Patiniotis, who will need to quickly find their rhythm after an intense week in Spain.

The meeting is scheduled for  second 10am rotation on court 6 .

 A quick turnaround after Castellón

The two former partners haven't had much time to recover. Yesterday, they were still playing in the final of the  FIP Bronze Castellón , ultimately lost after a hard-fought match against the Spanish  Daniel Luna Peinado  et  Nacho Moragues Moltó .

Despite this defeat, the Spanish week remains very encouraging. Leygue and Patiniotis rediscovered their rhythm and delivered several solid performances, notably a benchmark victory in the semi-final against the 3rd seed.  Miguel Morales / Luis Oliver Artigas .

Positive signs for Thomas Leygue.

The goal: to reach the main table

In Rome, the stakes take on a new dimension. Qualifying for the main draw of a Major would represent a great reward for the pair, but also an opportunity to collect valuable FIP points against the world's elite.

The first obstacle already looks significant against Méndez and Dorta Díaz, but the performances shown this week in Castellón suggest that Leygue and Patiniotis have the weapons to play their chance to the fullest in these Roman qualifiers.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
