Lino Meireles , 11 years old, aspires to integrate  the French junior padel team.  Formerly a young tennis player, he now devotes himself to padel. He trains intensively and participates in numerous national tournaments. Supported by his family and the brand Head,  Lino dreams of becoming a professional  and fully invests in achieving its goals.  Focus on this young promise. 

His career

Lino discovered padel a little over a year ago after playing tennis for four years. In August 2023, during a padel exhibition evening at the French Touch Academy from Cap d'Agde, Lino had the opportunity to play his first balls with  Loïc Le Panse and Julien Seurin.  It was a real revelation for him. The next day, he took an individual lesson to confirm his love for this sport.

Upon his return from vacation, Lino joined the Saint-Michel school in  Avignon in padel sports studies, becoming the first student in the region to be admitted to this program . He now trains more than four hours a day, combining padel, physical and mental preparation. Lino participates in numerous adult P100 and P250 tournaments, in singles and mixed, throughout France, as well as in national youth tournaments.

Furthermore, Lino is a member of the padel league in Aix-en-Provence and had the opportunity to participate in the pre-selections for the French championships in August in Aix, he ranked second in the under-11s and 5134th in the adult national ranking. Currently, he is following a two-week course at the French Touch Academy at the international padel tennis center in Cap d'Agde, and he has also completed two courses in Spain during the year.

A passion for padel

What Lino likes about padel is  “the team spirit” that he found while playing with a partner . Being able to encourage each other immediately appealed to him. He also appreciates being able to stay in the world of racket sports while discovering new dynamics, like playing with the windows. Another aspect that attracts him is  “the possibility of playing with adults”, both men and women,  which creates a very friendly atmosphere. This combination of team spirit, novelty and conviviality has made padel very attractive to him.

Her goals

In the short term, Lino is aiming for the French junior padel team. In the long term, Lino dreams of a professional career in padel. He wants to invest 100% in this sport and is ready to go abroad to pursue his dream and train in the best possible conditions. Finding a sponsor who could help him achieve this dream is also a priority for him and his family.
