In view of the success of the first edition of this event, the question we asked ourselves was whether he would put the cover back for a second round.

To this question Lisandro Borges replied: ” Yes the next two editions of America vs Europa will be played in Bastad, Sweden. We already have a contract with Euro Finans, a company that we know well and with which we co-organized this event.

We have already worked together for the first edition and it must be recognized that they did an excellent job and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Euro Finans and its teams for everything they have done.
We and the players were greeted in the best possible way in Sweden. The facilities are extraordinary, the players can enjoy a week of rest and play an unprecedented competition which has greatly enjoyed.

This is why the next two years, we will return to Bastad with great pleasure.

The date of these meetings will be in July, we do not yet know if it will be the second or third week.
However, what is certain is that we have an agreement with the World Padel Tour, Euro Finans and the Bastad hotel.

We were talking about it recently, in addition to the WPT which struggles to keep its best players and the APT, which would like to recover them, Lisandro Borges also hopes to be able to set up a circuit which will recover the stars of the padel World.

During an interview with our Spanish colleagues from the very serious newspaper Trademarks the CEO of America vs Europa returned to his plan to create a new circuit and gave some clues as to the strategic direction he would like to take.

“I will present a proposal where the players will be masters of 50% of the circuit and its winnings. This project aims to create a circuit that is for everyone and accessible to all.

It is incomprehensible that the players are treated in this way! They are the main players and they are the ones who keep the current circuit alive. Without players there would be nothing at all! 

We already have more than 23 international proposals from various financial groups interested in organizing tournaments, much like it is already done on ATP. This will be a new circuit, which will revolutionize the future of padel professional and amateur ”

For the moment we do not have more information concerning the start of this new circuit but the proposal seems very serious. The Argentine has already proven in the past that he is capable of organizing very large and prestigious events, he has the padel in the skin but above all, very important thing, he has a significant financial capacity to get things done.
