The rise of padel does not weaken: Italy exceeds 10 pitches, second largest country in the world behind spain.

There is spain. Then comes Italy, which exceeds argentina. During the Major which is played at Rome, the International Federation of Padel revealed an impressive figure: the number of padel courts in Italy has exceeded the 10 000 padel courts.

The total land in Italy has reached 10 padel courts in the country. Italy is the second country in the world after Spain (17 lots). A record ofsports facilities which testifies to the country's passion for the paddle.

Among all the padel courts, 45% are indoors (about 4 lots), distributed in a total of 3 clubs. To better understand the growth of sport in the country, since 2022, year of the first Major of Italy, the number of plots increased by approximately 29%.

Rome is the Italian city with the largest number of land plots (1 563, of which approximately 600 seats) and clubs (417), with an average of 3,7 pitches per club and a land for 2 700 people.

And here is another statistical interesting: Rome ranks third largest city in the world, behind Madrid et Barcelona, for the number of fields. Between amateurs and competitive players, nearly 250,000 people play padel in the Italian capital, out of a national total of 1,5 million players — which means thatone in six Italian padel players lives in Rome.
