Le  London Premier Padel P1  will conclude with the poster everyone was waiting for.  Arturo Coello / Agustín Tapia  found  Ale Galán / Fede Chingotto  in the final, with a stake that goes far beyond the London title.

After dominating their main rivals on several occasions at the start of the season, Galán and Chingotto are now on  four consecutive defeats in the final  facing the world's number ones. A victory in London would therefore be ideal to reverse the momentum just before the summer break.

 The dynamics have completely reversed.

The start of the season had, however, gone perfectly in favor of  Galan and Chingotto .

The Spanish-Argentine pair had managed to beat  four times Tapia and Coello giving the impression of having finally found the formula to regularly take down the bosses of the circuit.

But the number ones reacted.

Since,  Tapia and Coello have won their last four finals against Galán and Chingotto  and have regained the advantage in their head-to-head matchup this season:  5 wins to 4 .

A victory for Chingotto and Galán in London would therefore reset the standings to  5-5  and, above all, to break a streak that is starting to become a burden.

Two tournaments without the expected final

That was also  two tournaments  that the two best pairs in the world had not met in the final again.

In Malaga,  Galan and Chingotto  had been stopped by  Juan Lebrón / Leo Augsburger In Pretoria, it was the turn of  Tapia and Coello  to fall face to face  Javi Leal / Fran Guerrero .

This time, there were no surprises in London. The top two seeds lived up to expectations and will be able to resume their duel.

Tapia and Coello arrive with a lot of freshness

The performance of the number 1s has been impressive since the beginning of the week.

No sets lost and, most importantly, very little time spent on the track during the final laps. In the quarterfinals, they swept aside  Mariano González / Curro Cabeza 6/1 6/2 before dominating  Paquito Navarro / Martín Di Nenno 6/3 6/2 in 57 minutes  in the semifinals.

Tapia and Coello will therefore reach the final with some  confidence and a lot of physical freshness .

 Galán and Chingotto fought harder

The course of  Galan and Chingotto  was a little less straightforward. They notably dropped a set right from their opening match against  Abbate / Montiel , before gradually increasing in power.

Since then, they haven't conceded a single round and are coming off a strong run.  big semi-final against Lebrón and Augsburger .

A match that is inevitably more demanding, which raises a question before the final: will they have recovered enough to withstand the intensity imposed by the number 1 teams?

A crucial final before the holidays

Beyond the title, this match could have real importance for the rest of the season.

For  Tapia and Coello A fifth consecutive victory in the final against their main rivals would definitively confirm the reversal of momentum.

For  Galan and Chingotto This is an opportunity to stop the series, to return to  5-5 in their head-to-head matches in 2026  and to remind everyone that they still have the weapons to take down the number 1s.

With the summer break coming before the  Madrid P1 The winner will be able to go on holiday with one last big boost of confidence.

The answer will come this Sunday, not before 17pm.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
