Claude Baigts, the President of the Padel French Open, gives us an update on this year's 2017, its final phase, its European championship and its progress.

The Open de France: what's new? Changes ?

The end date of August changes. From now on, the big padel party will be held on 8, 9 and 10 September 2017. The Open de France keeps its name, but the naming of the competition will be "Mutuelle du Rempart" and that for a duration of 3 years. This year, we will occupy for this edition all the Place du Capitole, 4000 m2 to implement 2 short, a village businesses, VIP areas on 300 m2 and a space of sports motricity for the 6 / 10 years. the Wellness Sport Health Village, which has been very successful in 2016, has doubled its surface. These are 10 health professions that will be present.

2 / Mode of operation of the Open de France?

We had promised a Mutual France Open Mixed Rempart, we will present a final table of 16 teams for 8 nationalities.

A word about sports equipment: 2 padel short made under the control of Padel Consortium who selected Padel International and a French manufacturer 100% who have passed the test said the mother-in-law ...... We'll talk again. But this is a process that validates the quality of the padel courts! The play surfaces are entrusted to Tarkett.

3 / The partner padel clubs. The dates ?

The final stages will take place so the 8, 9 and 10 September.

To date, the club selections of the Monegasque Federation, De Valls Spain, Toulouse Padel Club, Big IV-Valencienne, Switzerland, Belgium, Greece and Italy have been selected by the European Association of Private Clubs of paddle.

4 / Concerning the European circuit, how is it organized?

For 2017 the launch of the European Championship will consist of 8 founding clubs that will meet in Toulouse in 2 group of 4 clubs each presenting a lady team and a men's team. The top 2 in each group will play the final 1 / 2 and the other ranking matches. These clubs and their representatives will launch the 2018 edition which will include 32 European clubs.

All the players of the Rempart Mutual Open de France Mixed as well as those of the European Club Championship are accommodated in the 5 Hotel and 4 stars and a restoration is ensured by the organizing committee. 90% of the partners of the 2016 edition have renewed their partnership:
Mutuelle du Rempart -Décathlon- Renault, Perrier, Nestlé and the partners of the Village Sport Santé Bien-être were joined by 15 other companies.
