After a successful first edition in 2024, the international padel tournament held in Lyon is reaching an important milestone. The event, initially ranked in FIP Gold category, is evolving this year towards the FIP Platinum, the most prestigious level of FIP Tour. A rapid progression which testifies to the seriousness of the organization and the growing enthusiasm around padel in the Lyon region.

Carried by the Ville de lyon, with the active support of the French Tennis Federation and Rhône Tennis Committee, the tournament has now established itself as a major event on the international calendar. Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region has also committed to this dynamic, just like the group Inelys, who brings his name to the event as co-namer.

This second edition of the Lyon Platinum Padel will take place in the emblematic setting of the Gerland Sports Palace, a place steeped in history for fans of the yellow ball, now reinvested by padel.

In the first edition, it was the Spanish Beatriz Caldera et Lorena Rufo who had won the women's competition, while their compatriots Jairus Baptist et Francisco Guerrero had triumphed in the men's race. Champions who will undoubtedly be keen to defend their title or inspire a new generation of contenders on the Lyon slopes.

With this move upmarket, Lyon confirms its ambition to become a essential hub of international padel, welcoming the world's best players in a spectacular setting.
