The men's final of the  Madrid P1  offered a strange scenario, marked by ups and downs. At the end of a disjointed but intense match,  Martin Di Nenno and Leo Augsburger  achieved the feat by beating the world number 1  Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello  :  4/6 6/3 6/4 .

A tight first set

Tapia and Coello took a while to find their rhythm but took advantage of Leo Augsburger's errors, who was shaky on the smash and struggling in defense. The number ones finally broke and logically concluded the first half 1/6.

The second set was a complete change of pace. Tapia made a series of errors and struggled to impose his game. Coello, less sharp, was unable to reverse the trend. On the other side, Augsburger entered his final and proved powerful, while Di Nenno, a true metronome, remained consistent and unabated. The Argentinian pair leveled the score, 6-3.

The deciding set was tense, with both teams struggling to impose their play. At 4/4, Tapia and Coello cracked with volleys and lobs that were too short. Di Nenno and Augsburger, solid, made the break at the perfect moment. On their serve, Augsburger produced several monumental smashes to close the final 6/4.

An exceptional week

This title is the  first of the Di Nenno / Augsburger pair , in only their second tournament together. Their run has been resounding: victory over the second seed  Galan / Chingotto , the 3nd seed  Lebrón / Stupaczuk , and finally the n°1  Tapia / Coello , who remained on  24 consecutive successes . We clearly saw the  No. 1 in difficulty , With a  Agustín Tapia particularly feverish , unable to find his rhythm and often punished at key moments.

Criticized during its formation, the association found a resounding response on the pitch. Di Nenno, impressively consistent, and Augsburger, unleashed in the money time, achieved a real feat.

Enough to start the  Paris Major  in a fiery atmosphere, with a quartet of favorites (Tapia/Coello, Galán/Chingotto, Lebrón/Stupa, and now Di Nenno/Augsburger) ready to battle it out for the biggest title of the season.
