Le premier  P1000 in Saint Martin “That's So Java”  organized at  Friendly Padel Club of Saint-Martin  It was a real success, both on and off the track. And at the end of the weekend, the favorites lived up to expectations.

The seed 1,  Morgan Mannarino / Pierre Perez Le Tiec , prevailed in the final against the 2nd seed  Baptiste Fabre / Raphaël Rubio  on the score of  6 / 3 6 / 2  in only 2 minutes.

 Solid favorites in the important moments 

In this final, Mannarino and Perez Le Tiec made the difference mainly in the important points.

On the  7 break points obtained they convert  4 , while on the other side Fabre and Rubio only converted one of their  6 opportunities .

Very aggressive,  Pierre Perez Le Tiec  hurt a lot with his vibra and his bajada throughout the match. On the other side, Baptiste Fabre had a little more difficulty.

In total :

  •  21 winning points  for TS1 against 16 opposite
  • available in only  16 unforced errors , compared to 23 for Fabre and Rubio

A final perfectly controlled by the favorites.

 A tournament completely dominated 

And this victory concludes an impressive tournament of domination.

Before the final, Mannarino and Perez Le Tiec had:

  • won their eighth  6/1   6/0 
  • won their quarter-final  6 / 2 6 / 2 
  • unfolded in the semi-final with a  6 / 0 6 / 0 

Even before the final, they had only lost  five games  throughout the entire tournament.

A demonstration of consistency and mastery.

 Fabre and Rubio also had a good tournament 

Despite the defeat in the final,  Baptiste Fabre / Raphaël Rubio  will also have had a very successful run.

They had made a perfect start to their tournament with:

  • a victory  6 / 1 6 / 1  in eighth grade
  • then a success  6 / 3 6 / 1  in the quarter-finals

In the semi-final, they had to battle against  Loupetis / Lavoye , before ultimately prevailing after a hard-fought battle:  6 / 4 7 / 6 .

In the quarter-finals, they notably eliminated the pair composed of  Maxime Moreau , former French top 5, associated with  David Lascar  (7500th French).

 A huge success for Saint-Martin 

Beyond the sporting aspect, this first  P1000 in Saint-Martin  It will be remembered above all for its atmosphere.

Packed stands, entertainment all weekend long, a great atmosphere after the matches… the Friendly Padel Club Family has succeeded in its gamble.

The public also enjoyed the presence of  José “The Best” , famous official window washer of the circuit Premier Padel and a true character in the world of padel.

Between great play, a festive atmosphere and successful organization, this first P1000 in Saint-Martin is already leaving very fond memories.
