We are in the heart of the Malaga tournament on the international WPT stage! On the women's circuit, the performance of Mapi and Majo Alayeto commands respect.

Indeed, despite Mapi's disease (multiple sclerosis), the twins have a great tournament with a victory this morning against Marta Ortega and Marta Marrero, and in two sets please!

An illness which had forced Mapi to retire in their first match at the Valencia Open. And during the Las Rozas tournament Majo played with Teresa Navarro because her sister was unable to take her place.

This is the first time they have reached the semi-finals since Mapi's disease was diagnosed.

This proves once again that some top athletes are endowed with extraordinary mental strength, and Mapi is not a champion for nothing. To manage to play at such a level in these conditions, what courage!

Tomorrow they will try to afford a place in the final. For that they will have to pass another major obstacle: Alejandra Salazar and Gemma Triay!
