What a first semi-final, at Mar Del Plata P1, with the huge match between Delfi Brea / Bea Gonzalez and Gemma Triay / Claudia Fernandez. A battle lasting more than 3 hours 28 minutes between two pairs who know each other by heart.

However, Bea Gonzalez and Delfi Brea managed to keep their huge invincibility streak…But it was hard for the superpibas.

A well-conducted first set

Delfi Brea played at home yesterday in their quarter-final. Alongside Bea Gonzalez, she met a pair she knew by heart: Gemma Triay et Claudia fernandez. Delfi and Brea were favorites for this meeting because, for the moment, they dominated the debates in the confrontations against Triay/Fernandez. Indeed, the Spanish-Argentinian pair have never lost this season against these two players.

Moreover, the superpibas did a thunderous start to the match, by breaking very early in this meeting. Delfi Brea, probably buoyed by the fervor of the public, delivered an impressive start to the match. Besides that, the Argentine player was well helped by a very aggressive Bea Gonzalez. In the end, this made 6/2 on the notice board.

The Triay/Fernandez revolt

However, Gemma and Claudia gradually made their mark in this match. This time, they were the first to take the service of their opponents and therefore started this second round by leading the race.

Yet, superpibas came back to score and pushed the Spanish pair to the decisive tie-break. The latter was very hung up but, in the end, Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez managed to get back to one round everywhere : 7/6 (6).

Brea/Gonzalez, at the end of the suspense

Moreover, they also started the third round well, breaking very early. They had several balls to lead 3/1 in this decisive set but, even if they had taken a blow to the head by losing the third set, the superpibas managed to come back to the score.

Several times, Brea and Gonzalez had to run behind the score, catch up a break behind schedule. However, pushed by a public who had chosen their side, the Spanish-Argentinian pair was able to find the necessary strength to come back to the score each time.

Finally, the match lasted 3h28 ! Long, grueling, hooked games. However, at the end of a very intense semi-final, it was Bea Gonzalez and Delfi Brea who won: 6/2 6/7 (6) 7/5.

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
