Gemma Triay and Lucia Sainz won their 5th title this year with a clear victory in the Menorca Master Final over Alejandra Salazar and Ariana Sanchez. Despite the fairly severe score (6/4 6/3), the 4 players gave us a very good match, to the delight of the Menorcan public, delighted to see the local of the stage, Gemma, win their first Master Final at home !

Tapia and Bela end in the most beautiful way

This match certainly deserved a third set, both the level was mind-blowing. Bela and Tapia made the best of conditions a little slower than in Madrid to dominate the pair of the year: Lebron / Galan. For their last game together, the Argentines released a top flight service to crack a pair who had until then lost only 4 times in 2020 and who presented themselves as favorite despite a reduced Ale Galan!

After the loss of the first set, the Spaniards will have given their all in a second set which could in itself be a compilation of “puntazos”! In the end, Fernando Belasteguin and Agustin Tapia, who could not contain their tears at the end of the match, won their 2nd tournament of 2020 after an unbreathable tie-break ! One thing is certain, all these incredible points will be missed during the WPT cutoff…
