A first set hung
After taking the lead with a quick break, Coello and Tapia eased off the pressure, allowing Navarro and Cardona to get back into the match. The latter managed to equalize and take the set to a tiebreak. It was finally thanks to a controlled deciding game (7-4) that the world leaders concluded this first set. 7/6
Undisputed domination in the second set
The loss of the tiebreak seemed to weigh heavily on Navarro and Cardona's morale. Coello and Tapia, for their part, raised their level of play to leave no more openings. Result: a one-sided second set (6-2), sealing their qualification for the semi-finals.

Navarro and Cardona, a generational contrast
If the defeat against the Golden Boys was predictable, the Navarro/Cardona pair showed interesting qualities. At 35 years old, Paquito Navarro brings all his experience, while paul cardona, only 20 years old, embodies the next generation of Spanish padel.
