The first two female quarterfinals were contested today in Barcelona. Viewers were able, for the only time of the year, to enjoy the matches on a Thursday, with a surprise from the start!

In the other quarterfinal of the day, Marta Marrero and Marta Ortega were looking for revenge against Majo Alayeto, who had beaten them (with Paula Josemaría) a week before at the Spanish Championships. This time the Marta were intractable and easily dominated the Mapi and Majo twins in two sets 6/2 6/4.

Reiter-Navarro and Ortega-Marrero will be able to take advantage of tomorrow's day to rest since the semi-finals will take place on Saturday.
