Hard blow for Maxime Joris, which officially announces the end of its 2025 season after a groin injury requiring a surgeryA difficult but inevitable decision, confirmed by the doctors.

"My body has reached its limit": Joris's lucid statement

On Instagram, Maxime delivered a sincere message:

"It is with sadness that I have to give up the end of my season because of groin pain.
The surgeon's announcement came on Monday; I have to have surgery to ensure 100% healing.
It is in these moments that we know our body has reached its limit and that we need a moment to rebuild ourselves.
I know that the most important progress sometimes happens away from the track, so we're keeping our heads held high to prepare for the 2026 season in the best possible way.

A 2025 season with some good results

Before this setback, Maxime Joris had a more than respectable season:

  • an final at the FIP Gold Dubai at the beginning of the year
  • several FIP Tour semi-finals
  • a regular presence in the major charts
  • a ranked end to the season 189th in the world

My only regret: not having won a title which would have perfectly rewarded his work.

Objective: to come back stronger in 2026

While this forced break may bring his sporting year to an end, it could well mark the starting point of a major reboundJoris reiterates: progress is also built "away from the track".

With a united team around him and a clear plan, the Frenchman is already preparing 2026, with the ambition to come back stronger, more stable, and higher in the FIP rankings.

We wish him good luck, speedy recovery, And a successful return on the circuit.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
