Line Meites (13 FFT) and Wendy Barsotti (23 FFT) decided to join forces in 2020. The opportunity to learn more about this new association.

Padel Magazine : Tell us a bit about this new pair?

Line Meites : New year, new partner! This year Wendy accepted my invitation 🙂 so we will play together the season in France. In Spain I still have to decide, the requests are numerous…

Wendy Barsotti : I am very happy to be able to share the season with Line. I know it will bring me a lot on the field, whether it is tactically or mentally! We have developed a relationship that gives us confidence in the field, and that is what I need above all!

PM: Who will play on the left? Line and her devastating smash?

LM : Wendy is at the stop and will play on the left this year. Unless it does not release any ball, we will change, given my ease in making Par 3! I did a fire pre-temporada, you can imagine! I'm almost ready to do battle…

PM: Ok, so Wendy on the left, and Line on the right… Wendy, we haven't seen you on the track for very long, you've been playing for a long time. padel ?

WB : I play Padel for a year now, and I started competing in April. It's very recent, but I've been playing tennis since I was five, so I already had the basics of sorts.

PM : Already 23rd French after a year of padel, what are your goals in this sport?

WB : My ultimate goal is to join the France team! It is really something that makes me dream. I quit tennis, now it's 100% padel !

PM : We imagine that the help of Johan (Bergeron), can be precious to get there?

WB : Being with Johan and living his padel from the outside makes me want to experience it from the inside as well. I follow him a lot in his tournaments and I learn a lot by watching. He gives me advice and I listen to him very carefully. I really enjoy sharing it all with him.

PM: And for this season the girls? Specific goals?

LM : I will try to bring my experience and my knowledge of the sport, and of the girls, to help Wendy to go as high as possible. She clearly has the capacity and the motivation to join the French team! So our goals for the season are necessarily high.

WB : We will participate in a maximum of tournaments! Obviously we set ourselves to do all P2000. My objective for the year is to gain as much experience as possible in order to integrate the elite and the French top 10.

PM: Line, are you going to be able to bring all your experience to Wendy, is that something that was important to you?

LM : Yes, I am happy to play with Wendy. I think we will quickly find our marks on the ground. We have a great relationship, under construction. It will change me to have a fixed partner for the season, after a few complicated years…

PM: Any last word to finish? Sponsors to thank?
