The second part of the quarter-finals of the Menorca Master Final, which took place on Friday, once again offered us a great show!

Amatriain / Llaguno make the pleasure last

Yesterday's match at noon, between two pairs who will separate at the end of the season, turned in favor of Patty Llaguno and Eli Amatriain. The veterans showed a lot more serenity on the track than Bea Gonzalez and Paula Josemaria. A final victory 6 / 2 7 / 5 which offers them place in the semi-finals. Both players were very emotional after the match.

Stupa / Sanyo win a big fight

The second 100% Argentinian face-to-face of this Master Final has us again offered an exceptional battle, finally won by Gutierrez and Stupaczuk, after almost 3 hours of play! A completely crazy match, with 13 breaks and several match points saved by Silingo / Diaz, who gave everything on the track. Final victory 6/1 6/7 6/3 for Stupa and Sanyo.

Salazar / Sanchez at the end of the suspense

It's the second exceptional match of the day! We were expecting a very big shock between Salazar / Sanchez and the Alayeto twins, and we were not disappointed! Mapi and Majo have given the recent champions a hard time, but like two weeks ago, Manu Martin's players won in three sets: 7/5 4/6 6/4 !

Bela / Tapia want to end on a high note

Fernando Belasteguin and Agustin Tapia, who had announced their separation earlier today, appeared very focused on the track last night. For his first Master, Javi Rico showed beautiful things, Paquito Navarro was exceptional at times, but at this level, it was difficult for a last minute pair to beat a duo who already have their automatisms. Final victory 6 / 4 6 / 3 for Tapia and Bela who join their Argentinian counterparts Stupa and Sanyo in the semi-finals.

The semi-finals program

Who says semi-finals says that the matches are broadcast on Spanish television, so we start 10h. In the men, a scent of Argentina will float in the Pabellon de Menorca, since 6 of the eight players present were born in the country of Diego Maradona. Galan and Lebron are therefore alone against Argentina, but they have already shown that it does not scare them!

Among the women, Spain is as always in force, with 8 players out of 8 in the semi-finals! Note that of the 8 pairs that will be on the track today, only two will continue the adventure in 2021: they are Galan / Lebron and Ortega / Marrero!
