Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto win the men's final of the Miami Premier Padel P1 this Sunday, by imposing himself authoritatively against Juan Lebrón and Franco Stupaczuk (6/1 7/6). A deserved victory for the second seed, who generally dominated this final and who won a title 2 months after the last title in July at P8 in Genoa.

A one-sided first set

The start of the match is clearly to the advantage of Galan and ChingottoVery solid on serve, aggressive in return, they quickly take control of the exchange. Opposite, Juan Lebrón seems tense, surely caught up in the stakes and the emotion of playing against his former teammate Galán. Stupaczuck, for his part, makes a rather good start to the match, but it's not enough.

Chingotto dominates its diagonal against Lebrón, while Galán is very impactful on the attack. Result: two service games lost by Stupaczuk, and the number 2s fly away. They pocket the first set 6/1, without ever being really worried.

A more contested second round

In the second set, Lebrón found a little more rhythm and composure. The match evened out, but the momentum remained in favor of “Chingalan.” They took 6 break points throughout the set, but this time Stupa and Lebrón held firm on their service games.

The exchanges are tense, the atmosphere too. There is no break, and the set goes to a tie-break. Here again, Galán and Chingotto take matters into their own hands. Galán, ultra-dominant in the air, crushes the smashes and controls the points. Chingotto, true to form, misses nothing and harasses Lebrón, who cannot gain the upper hand.

They impose themselves 7/6 in the second set, concluding a match that was generally controlled.

Visible tensions on the ground

Beyond the score, we will also remember the palpable tension between Galán and LebrónNot a word exchanged, no complicity. At the traditional handshake at the end of the match, Galán doesn't even look Lebrón in the eye. A strong sign, which speaks volumes about their current relationship.

Chingalan back on top

With this victory, Galán and Chingotto win their first title of the season and confirm their status as pretenders to the throne. It is their 6nd title together (1 Major, 2 P1, 3 P2) and their 9th final in P1, a format in which they excel.

Galán was a force to be reckoned with in this final, as if he were the boss. Chingotto, for his part, dominated Lebrón. It was impossible to get past him, impossible to overtake him: Federico was everywhere.

Stupa and Lebrón can still be proud

Even if they fail in the final, Stupaczuk and Lebrón can be satisfied with their start to the season. Three tournaments played together in 2025, and three finals playedThey had won Cancun, but this time they came up against stronger opponents.

Stupaczuck unfortunately has another defeat in a P1 final, a match he hasn't won since 2022. For Lebrón, this final still allows him to confirm that he remains a top player... but this duel against Galán has undoubtedly left a bitter taste in his mouth.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
