After several weeks of absence for a large part of the Top 100 worldwide, the best padel players will finally make their return to competition during the P1 Miami. This tournament, which will take place from 18 at 23 March au Miami Beach Convention Center, marks a turning point after the massive boycott of P2s Gijon and Cancun.
A strong field for the first tournament in the United States
Miami hosts tournament for first time Premier Padel. Under the direction of Fernando Belasteguín, fans will find the biggest pairs on the circuit:
- Agustín Tapia & Arturo Coello
- Federico Chingotto & Alejandro Galán
- Coki Nieto & Miguel Yanguas
- Martín Di Nenno & Javier Garrido
These players have not been seen in competition since P1 of Riyadh, more than a month ago, which further increases the anticipation surrounding their return.
Bea González and Claudia Fernández back in business
Unlike the men, the female players on the circuit have not boycotted previous tournaments. However, Bea González and Claudia Fernández had chosen not to participate in the P2 of Cancun, a decision taken as a precaution, in particular to avoid any injury before Miami.
Other pairs have made the same choice, like Beatriz Caldera & Carmen Goenaga et Marina Guinart & Ana Catarina Nogueira, who preferred to take it easy before attacking this American P1.
Tolito Aguirre and Gonzalo Alfonso continue their rise
Determined to impose themselves on the circuit Premier Padel, Tolito Aguirre and Gonzalo Alfonso will be present at Miami as 38th pair of the tournament. Further proof of their ambition to establish themselves permanently at this level.
Another pair to follow, Curro Cabeza and Diego Garcia, recent winners of the P2 of Gijón, who will try to confirm their great momentum against opponents of a completely different caliber.
A key tournament for the rest of the season
Le P1 Miami is shaping up to be a key moment of the season Premier Padel. It will be an opportunity to gauge the fitness of the best world pairs, but also to see if the tensions between the players and the circuit organization will finally ease.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
