The Miami Women's Final Premier Padel P1 lived up to all its promises, with an explosive match between the two best pairs of the moment. And in the end, it was Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea that are needed in three sets (2/6 6/1 6/4) face Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría , thus unhooking their third consecutive title after Gijón and Cancún.
A flying start for the number 1s
As in their previous finals, Sánchez and Josemaría started the match with their feet on the gas. Relentless in their serve-ins and surgical on the important points, they converted their first two break points , quickly taking off (4/0). Solid behind, they maintain the advantage for win the first set 6/2 A demonstration of mastery.
But at this stage of the final, the hardest part remained: maintaining this level of performance without fail. And against a pair like Triay/Brea, the slightest drop in energy can be costly...
The rude awakening of Triay and Brea
Carried by a Sparkling Delfi Brea , more precise and aggressive on the volley, the number 2s take control of the second set. Break at the start, then confirmation: they lead 3/0. Josémaría and Sánchez will have two break points at 3/1 , but this time it was Triay and Brea who resisted. Brea's vibora particularly hurt Josemaría, who began to accumulate unforced errors.
In this dynamic, The Spanish-Argentine pair breaks again and wins the set 6/1 , clearly tipping the scales.
A tense but controlled third set
The start of the deciding set confirmed the trend: a nervous Josemaría rushed forward and lost her serve. But the number ones didn't give up. With guidance from their coach, they found their rhythm, imposed more volume, and returned to a good level.
Despite the pressure, Triay and Brea don't tremble . Ultra solid on their service games, they held their break until the end and concluded the final with the score of 2/6 6/1 6/4 , sealing a significant victory against the world number 1 pair.

The best pair of the moment
With this third title in a row (Gijón P2, Cancún P2, Miami P1) , Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea stand out as the most in-form pair at the start of the season . They now have two victories against Sánchez / Josemaría in 2025, and continue 10 consecutive wins , including several without conceding a single set.
A success that brings the two players closer to the world number one spot, a clearly stated objective.
- Triay is the only player to have won titles Premier Padel with three different partners (Ortega, Fernandez and Brea).
- Brea , for its part, is back on track with 3 consecutive finals, a performance it has not seen since May 2024.
A setback for Sánchez and Josemaría
The number 1 side is disappointed. Despite a perfect start to the match, Ariana and Paula were unable to maintain their intensity or adapt to their opponents' growing strength. However, they remain at the top of the standings and still have a combined total of 12 titles on the circuit Premier Padel . 18 final contests (out of 34 tournaments).
But the Triay/Brea threat is very real… and growing.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
