Fernando Belasteguin continues to defy time. While the Milano Premier Padel P1 could mark the end of his career, Bela has offered himself an additional victory, thus extending his journey. Accompanied by his Argentinian partner, Tino Libaak, he triumphed over the Portuguese brothers Nuno et Miguel Deus (6-4, 6-4) in 1h15, after having made up a deficit in the second set (led 4-2).

At the Allianz Cloud, many padel champions had travelled to watch what could have been Bela's last match: Arturo Coello, Agustin Tapia, Fede Chingotto, Juan Tello or, Martin Di Nenno, all came to honor the man who left his mark on several generations.

A new challenge against Garrido and Bergamini

With this victory, Fernando Belasteguin et Tino Libaak will be back on centre court tomorrow night to face the number 7 seeds, Javi Garrido et Lucas Bergamini, during the evening session starting at 18 p.m. Although the advantage on paper seems to go to their opponents, Bela, surrounded by his family, approaches this next match with serenity and determination.

A trying year, but a peaceful mind

After a particularly difficult year and a half, Bela confides with emotion:

"I am very happy and calm. This year has been extremely complicated. Throughout my career, I have always tried to train to improve, but these last few months have mainly been training to hold on. Today, if it had been my last match, I could have looked my family in the eye and said: Igave everything »

Fernando Belasteguin also greeted his partner Tino Libaak, with whom he shares a great bond, on and off the court. This collaboration has allowed him to rediscover the pleasure of playing despite the challenges.

Fans turn out for Bela

Tomorrow, the Milanese fans will be numerous again to support the legendary Argentinian player. One thing is certain: as long as Belasteguin is on the court, every match is a celebration of his incredible career.
