Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia face Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán, this is the poster for the Milano P1 final. It is scheduled for this Sunday at 16:30 pm at the Allianz Cloud. This is the 15th confrontation between these two pairs. The statistical advantage leans towards Coello and Tapia (9 wins against 5), who are on a series of six successes against their rivals. However, the “Chingalán” have won their last two duels in Italy, in Rome and Genoa, during Coello and Tapia's last defeat this season, five months ago.
In the semi-finals, Chingotto and Galán beat Martin Di Nenno and Juan Lebrón in two sets. The first set was quick (6-1), with Chingotto and Galán clearly superior. In the second, despite an initial break and a 3-0 lead, Di Nenno and Lebrón found solutions to equalize at 4-4. At 5-4, a smash error by Di Nenno gave Galán a match point, which he immediately converted.
Ambitions for the final
Ale Galán spoke after the victory: "Tomorrow we will give our all. We have a special bond with the Italian fans, and we want to entertain them, win, and enjoy this moment. Against Coello and Tapia we will have to adjust our game. Not being favourites gives us even more motivation."
