Let the show begin, with the best players on the planet, the reigning world champions, the frantic race for a place in the final in Barcelona, and the great show at the Allianz Cloud.
The Milano Premier Padel P1, presented today at the Palazzo Reale, represents the best of padel for fans of this sport. From December 2 to 8, the extraordinary atmosphere of the Allianz Cloud will host the third edition of this tournament, which has become a "classic" of the professional circuit governed by the International Padel Federation. Padel (FIP) and Qatar Sports Investments (QSI).
""Thanks to the tenacity of Councillor Martina Riva, the name "Milano" appears in the title of the tournament, due to the international exposure that the city of Milan will have with this event," said Luigi Carraro, President of the FIP. "An event that continues to improve and that will have a novelty this year: it will be the last tournament of the circuit Premier Padel before the Barcelona finals, as well as the last of the legend Fernando Belasteguin. […] We are ready for an extraordinary edition: if the first two years offered unique emotions, let's prepare ourselves for something even more spectacular."
The protagonists
The event will restart on the basis of last year's more than 30 spectators and a men's final that has gone down in padel history: the one won 000-7, 6-6, 7-7 by Juan Lebron and Ale Galan at the end of an incredible battle against Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno.
This year Galan is partnered with the Argentinian Federico Chingotto, and together with the duo formed by Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, he is the main actor in a never-ending challenge, which could experience a new chapter in Milan.
Chingotto and Tapia, moreover, have recently become world champions at the FIP World Padel Championships in Doha with the Argentine national team, alongside Stupaczuk, Di Nenno, Chozas, Augsburger, Libaak and the legend Sanyo Gutierrez. Another Argentine legend, Fernando Belasteguin, will play in Milan his last professional tournament after an extraordinary career that has established him as the most decorated athlete in the history of this sport.
All of them will be present at the Allianz Cloud, as well as the Spanish world champions: Paula Josemaria, Ari Sanchez, Gemma Triay, Claudia Fernandez, Ale Salazar, Jessica Castelló, Marta Ortega and Bea Gonzalez, the latter being champion of the Milano Premier Padel P1 2023 alongside Argentina's Delfi Brea.
On the way to the Master Final
The Milano Premier Padel P1 will also be one of the last opportunities to qualify for the Premier Padel Finals, scheduled for Barcelona from 19 at 22 decemberThe top 16 players in the FIP Race rankings will compete in Spain for the final act of the season, and the Allianz Cloud tournament will be one of the last to award points for these finals.
