Ale Alonso et Andrea Ustero embody the future of world padel, but their talent is already being demonstrated on the biggest stages. Between them, they are barely 35 years old, and yet, their presence at theAllianz Cloud Milan leaves no one indifferent. If the young Ustero (born in 2007) is already qualified for the Premier Padel Finals, Alonso (born 2006) took a decisive step towards Barcelona, by securing a significant victory against two figures of Spanish padel: Lucia Sainz et Patty Llaguno. After a 2h32 fight, they won with a score of 7/5 4/6 6/1.

A dream of qualification for Barcelona

“Being close to the Finals means a lot to us. All season we have worked hard for this goal. Playing this competition with Andrea, with whom I have so much fun on the court, would be a dream," said Ale Alonso. The two young players are not unknown to the Italian public. Last July, they won the European Championship of padel FIP in Cagliari under the colours of the Spanish national team. In Milan, a new challenge awaits them in the semi-finals: they will face Delfi Brea et Bea Gonzalez, the reigning champions. The latter had already dominated them in the final of the P1 in Dubai (victory 6/2 6/3), marking the first appearance of Alonso and Ustero as a pair on the circuit. Premier Padel.

A meeting with a scent of revenge

Andrea Ustero will be reunited with Delfi Brea, with whom she played in the final of the Major of Paris at Roland-Garros. That day, Brea, replacing the injured Bea Gonzalez, had shared the court with the young prodigy. This time, Delfi and Bea will stand in their way, strong from a 7/6 6/1 victory against Veronica Virseda et Aranzazu Osoro, thus eliminating a direct rival in the race for Finals.

For Alonso, this victory opens the doors of Barcelona a little more. It ranks just behind the “Vikinga” Virseda in the FIP Race, with the ultimate threat Tamara Icardo, the last player still in the running for the 16th qualifying place. Barcelona, Ustero's hometown, could therefore be the scene of an accomplishment for both partners: "Playing the Finals "To be able to do it at home, in front of my family, would be incredible. I advise young people to never give up, to avoid bad habits and to always do things right from the beginning," said Andrea Ustero.

With one already assured of participation and the other well on track, Alonso and Ustero confirm that the NextGen padel is ready to compete with the best.
