Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia confirm their total domination in the men's category, while Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez stand out as the must-have pair of the moment in the women's category (especially in the absence of Josemaria/Sanchez). Milano Premier Padel P1, last meeting before the Barcelona Finals, brought together 5 spectators for the finals, with a total of 500 people over the week. This tournament also marked the end of the career of Fernando Belasteguin In Milan.

In the women's final, Triay and Fernandez won their sixth title of 2024 after Bea Gonzalez withdrew injured while playing alongside Delfi Brea. In the men's competition, Coello and Tapia won their ninth consecutive title, bringing their incredible series to 45 wins in a row.

Coello and Tapia: a record season

With 14 titles in 2024, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia dominate without sharing. Their victory 6/4 7/5 against Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan in Milan confirms their hegemony. After failures in the final in Rome and Genoa, the Argentine-Spanish pair has lined up successes in Malaga, Madrid, Rotterdam, Valladolid, Paris, Dubai, Kuwait, Acapulco and now Milan.

Chingotto and Galan, authors of five titles this season, offered a good opposition, but Coello and Tapia were once again untouchable. Tapia, designated MVP of the final, said: "We must continue to work to stay at the top. Thanks to our families for their support."

The final was decided by key moments: in the first set, Chingotto and Galan missed several break points before giving up 6/4. The second set, despite a surge from the opponents, was concluded by a smash from Tapia.

Triay and Fernandez: intractable queens

Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez add a sixth title to their 2024 record, winning in Milan after Bea Gonzalez withdrew. The match, stopped at 6/7 5/2, was marked by Gonzalez's injury, putting an end to a complicated season for her

"We are sorry to win like this and wish Bea a speedy recovery," said Gemma Triay. Fernandez, for her part, praised their consistency: "We played at a high level all week and that motivates us for the Finals."

The match had started in favour of Brea and Gonzalez, who led 5/2 before being caught. Triay and Fernandez, although struggling in the first set, showed their ability to reverse the trend before Gonzalez's injuries sealed the fate of the match.

With this title, Triay and Fernandez become the second most successful pair of the year. Fernandez, full of confidence, is already preparing for the Barcelona Finals : "This season is the best of my career. I feel like I can compete with the best in the world."

Heading for the Barcelona Finals

By dominating the circuit, Coello/Tapia and Triay/Fernandez to a lesser extent appear as the Favourites to end the season in style. However, let us note that the world's leading pair in the women's category was absent from Milan and that, of course, Josemaria / Sanchez will be the big favourite if she participates in the Finals at 100% of her abilities/
