It's under strong heat in Indoor at the Big Padel Mérignac that took place the first regional championship of the New Aquitaine league.

A weekend Padel as the referee, Frédéric RICHEME, loves them with “sportsmanship and classification matches for all".

In men, 26 teams tried their luck, but it was without counting on the talent and the physique of Maxime Moreau and Kevin Fouquet, who won the direct ticket for the final stages of the French championships of padel next September. A victory acquired after 3 sets in the final against the pair Mathieu Armagnac and Alexandre Leruste. A final where we were not far from the surprise of these French regional phases. A frustrating defeat for the Leruste / Armagnac pair who will probably not be called to participate in the finals because of their national ranking.

In the ladies, only 4 teams present. For regional phases, it is not necessarily much and the league would have preferred to offer more pairs. "On the other hand at the level of the pairs, it was the top!” explains referee Frédéric RICHEME.

Maï Vo and Audrey Casanova win in 3 sets for their last clash against Marianne Vandaele and Lea Godalier. When Catherine Lalanne and Virginie Guerinet, they seize the 3e instead of Sophie Douchet and Julie Cazaubon, which we will certainly see again on the French national circuit.

A priori, except disaster, we will find whatever happens the finalist pair of the day Vandaele / Godalier in the final phase of the French championships of padel.

Small bonus ... the "funny ladies" pose for the photo!
