Coach on the bench… and partner on the track
The situation is actually quite rare. Usually, the coach observes his player from outside the rink, takes notes, analyzes tactical choices and intervenes during changes of ends.
In Courrin's case, there's no need to look very far: His coach is sometimes right next to him on the track.
It would be hard to find a more personal level of support.
A positioning error? Seux can point it out immediately. A poor tactical decision? Same thing. And if Nathan Courrin wants to dispute his coach's analysis, he also has a fairly simple argument: Thomas was on the court with him.

On the one hand, Nathan Courrin and Thomas Seux are registered as partners on the FIP Tour On the other hand, Thomas Seux is the one who accompanies and coaches Courrin in his development.
In other words, depending on the time of day, Seux can be Courrin's coach... then become his partner a few minutes later.
Of course, beyond the anecdote, the partnership also has a certain logic. Seux knows Courrin's game particularly well, his strengths, his habits, and the areas he wants to improve. This knowledge can certainly become an advantage when they play together.
But one question remains after their matches: Who's doing the debriefing?
The coach with his player? The teammate with his teammate?
In their case, it's best to save time: Everyone is already gathered.
