At only 15 years,  Nathan Perrot  is one of the most promising young French players of his generation. Trained at the My Center Palavas Academy , Together with  Benjamin Tison  et  Yannick Maurel , the young man already impresses with his maturity and ambition. He tells us about his experience at  P1000 from Palavas , his daily life as a student-athlete and his goals for the coming months.

A dream tournament with Tison… or almost

In Palavas, Nathan experienced a very special tournament alongside Benjamin Tison,  former French number 1  :

“It was one of my birthday presents. Playing with Ben was incredible. He always puts me in good conditions. I receive easy balls to play, and he guides me tactically throughout the match.”

The duo, formed for the occasion, had a superb run to the final. But Tison's adductor injury on match point in the semi-final forced them to withdraw.

“We were gutted not to be able to play this final, especially after beating some big pairs. But his injury really didn't allow him to continue.”

An academy structured to grow quickly

Nathan evolves within the My Center Palavas Academy , where he trains alongside players like  Yoan Boronad ,  Timeo Fonteny .

“We're a great group of young people, it really lifts everyone up. Yannick Maurel is my lifelong coach, the one who trained me. And for the past two months, Ben (Tison) has also been following me on the pitch.”

The organization of his weeks is well oiled. Schooled via the  CNED  which allows him to train intensely, even outside of holidays:

“I do two workouts a day: padel in the morning, then padel and fitness in the afternoon. The pace is intense, but I love it.”

 Clear ambitions for 2024-2025

If he does not set ranking targets,  Nathan aims for a gradual move upmarket  :

“This year, I want to make more P1000s, P1500s, and even try for P2000s. And soon, I'd like to start playing FIPs abroad.”

 Partner, sponsors, future

His heart partner remains  Sacha Huard , with whom he won the  Master U16  recently in Perpignan. A pair that he would like to grow as far as possible:

“We get along really well. He's even coming to live with me when school starts again. If we can succeed together, that's ideal.”

Nathan is also  supported by Head , which provides him with rackets, outfits and equipment:

“It's a real help for my parents and for me. It's a brand I love, and it's great to have this support.”

 What's Next ?

Currently ranked around the  340th place in France , Nathan knows what he still has to work on:

“I'm lacking a bit of discipline and consistency. I need to avoid quick mistakes and be more aggressive at the net. But I'm progressing quickly.”

His next goals: attempt the P1000 in Sète in 2 weeks, a  P1500 in Nîmes , and continue to gain experience against the best.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
