His path to the final was strewn with clashes against the best teams. “I felt good on the track, even if the start of the match is always surprising for me, because I am not used to playing at this speed,” he explains. However, he feels a clear progression in his game: “I have made a lot of progress, everything is falling into place, and physically, I am also good.”

The match was decided on details, with a narrow defeat: 7 / 6 7 / 6. “It’s a crazy game. If we show this match without saying who is who, nobody would know who is the lowest ranked,” Mario Cordero emphasizes.

A positive assessment and clear objectives

Despite the disappointment, this final is a source of motivation. “It’s encouraging. My start to the season is positive, with good results in Australia and a third place in P2000. I want to continue playing at this level, because I realize that I can compete.”

With Pierre-Vincent, the season promises to be busy. “We will continue together, it is going very well. We have had some great victories, notably a quarter at the end of the year in a table where we were not favorites.”

The goal is clear: “Play the circuit to the fullest and face these players more often. That’s the only way I’ll improve. My eye and my speed help me, but I have to get used to the pace.”
