Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz in the men's category, as well asAriana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría in the women's category, became the first champions in the history of Qatar Airways Premier Padel FinalsThis inaugural tournament, held in Palau Sant Jordi, crowned these pairs who wrote their name in the history of padel.

A men's final with a crazy scenario

Facing the pair Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, undefeated for 168 days with 9 consecutive titles, Nieto and Sanz reversed an almost impossible situation. Beaten in the first set (6-3), they saved two match points before securing a spectacular victory in three sets: 6-3/7-5/6-3.
Buoyed by the support of the Catalan public and the chants of “Yes, we can do it”, Nieto and Sanz broke the hegemony of their opponents with a determined game and a steely mentality. In a press conference, Nieto expressed his emotion:

"I lost to them for two years, I still can't believe we won."
For his part, Jon Sanz praised the crucial role of spectators:
"Palau supported us in an incredible way, making us believe in our chances."

The confirmed domination of the world number 1s

In women, Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría, dominating throughout the season, sealed their year with a clear victory against Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernández : 6-3/6-3. Despite a solid start to the match from their opponents, Sánchez and Josemaría were able to regain control in the middle of the first set. In the second set, their mastery allowed them to open up an unbridgeable gap.
In a press conference, Paula highlighted the physical and mental challenges of this season:

“This year has been incredible, but more difficult than the previous ones. We have held on despite the rare moments spent at home.”
Ari, for her part, spoke about the objectives for 2025:
"We have achieved our goal of remaining No. 1 this year. Now we want to continue to progress and get ahead of our opponents."
