Jon sanz et Coki Nieto made their mark at the Master Finals in Barcelona, securing a memorable victory. After their match, both players shared their impressions in a press conference, answering journalists' questions about their future, their performance and the emotions experienced on the field. And of course, without singling out Tapia, the winners had to talk about “this lull”

Question: After such a result, do you plan to continue together next year?
Nieto: For now, we have not decided anything. We will have to evaluate the season with our team. We came to this tournament with low expectations, without thinking we could win. We have to take the time to reflect because the feelings throughout the year have not always been good.

Question: You saved 4 or 5 match points in an electric atmosphere. What did you feel at that moment, with the audience in a trance?
Sanz: Honestly, after 58 minutes of play, we already saw ourselves at home. But something changed. From the third set onwards, we were solid on serve and managed to break at 3-2, to lead 4-2. We then managed well, despite the thoughts that collide in these crucial moments.

Question: During the match, there was a moment when Agustín seemed to have a bad patch. How did you experience that from the pitch?
Nieto: Closing a match is never easy, even for them. They are human, and sometimes the pressure gets to them. We seized the opportunity and took advantage of it to turn the tide, especially after an exceptional second set from Jon, which gave us confidence.

Question: You turned around a near-lost situation in the second set. What happened?
Sanz: Honestly, we can say that luck was on our side. We were down 6-3, 5-4, 40-15, and we were already thinking about our vacation. But a few mistakes from our opponents and a bit of luck allowed us to get back into the match. We then capitalized on these opportunities to win the third set.
