In the show  Daily , the comedian  Nordine Ganso  had fun taking a jab at padel in a completely tongue-in-cheek sketch.

“I can’t stand padel players anymore. Forty-year-old fathers with a racket and a backpack… it makes no sense. Go home.”

A humorous sequence that caused a lot of laughter… but which obviously did not go unnoticed in the world of padel.

4Padel He replies… on the field

On the side of  4Padel We decided to respond to Nordine Ganso in the best way possible:  by taking him directly to try out the sport .

The sprinkler watered.

And for the occasion, the comedian wasn't alone, as he had the following coach:  Jason Brokers , a big padel enthusiast and a regular on the courts.

Nordine equipped from A to Z

Racket, outfit, coaching… Nordine Ganso received a complete initiation.

And very quickly, the conclusion was reached:  Padel is much more complicated than it looks.

Between the glass, the positioning, the technique and the exchanges, the comedian quickly understood that the sport demanded much more than he imagined.

Despite some difficulties, he still managed to:

  • exchange several balls
  • play a few points
  • discover the basics of the game

And especially :  have fun on the track

The verdict is in: level 1

After this introductory session, the final verdict was reached:  Nordine Ganso is officially ranked… level 1

In other words :  We'll have to come back and train.

But judging from the images and the atmosphere, one thing seems certain:  Padel seems to have already piqued his interest a bit.

So who knows… maybe the one who gently mocked padel players will soon end up with:

  • a racket
  • a backpack
  • and a WhatsApp group “Padel "Thursday at 19pm" like everyone else.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
