This separation did not happen all at once. Nicolas Rouanet looks back on this decision:

"It was planned for a few weeks, even a few months, that after the French championships, we would stop our duo. The main reason is that we both have different goals. There is also a little lack of results recently… For my part, I will mainly launch myself on the FIP circuit. There, I am looking for international partners but I am keeping a few big events in France obviously. "

A page is turning for the two players who obviously remain on very good terms.
