Second shock for the Bordeaux tournament. After the announcement of the withdrawal of  Juan Lebrón  This Monday, it is now the duo's turn  Delfi Brea / Gemma Triay  to withdraw from the competition. The Argentine, who injured her calf during her semi-final in Valladolid, had to withdraw in the middle of the match. Despite the hope of seeing her on the French slopes,  The verdict has been handed down: Delfi Brea will not be fit to play this week. 

 A package that redistributes the cards 

This withdrawal is a real upheaval for the women's table. Ranked among the headliners,  Triay and Brea were exempt from the first round . Their place will therefore be taken up by a  lucky loser pair , directly propelled into the round of 1 without having to play the first round. In other words: a real stroke of luck for the team that was drafted!

 What if the dream became reality for French women? 

The name of this lucky loser team has not yet been revealed, but one scenario is already making French fans dream. What if it were...  Carla Touly and Jessica Ginier , beaten in the last round of qualifying? Their unexpected return to the main draw would revive hope.

Even better, if  Léa Godallier  et  Laura Lujan  If they win their first-round match against Caldera/Goenaga, they would then face that famous repechage team. If it's Touly/Ginier...  so we would have at least one Frenchwoman in the quarter-finals! 

The fate is not yet sealed, but French fans can believe it. Fate is sometimes playful... and in Bordeaux,  the hope of a great French journey is still very much alive.
