The tournament Bordeaux Premier Padel P2 marks the end of one chapter… and the beginning of another. While several duos will separate after the Gironde stage, the most significant announcement concerns the future association between Alejandra Salazar and Martina Calvo, made official for the Malaga P1.
Salazar bets on Martina Calvo's youth
It is now confirmed: Alejandra Salazar, a legend of world padel, will team up in Malaga with Martina Calvo, one of the great revelations of the season. The 38-year-old Spaniard, looking for stability and results, has decided to bet on the freshness and talent of the young Calvo, who has impressed since her debut on the circuit.
Martina, who until now formed a very promising duo with Aranza Osoro, has proven that she has the makings of a top player. Together, they have produced remarkable performances, with quarterfinals in Asunción, a semifinal in Buenos Aires, and another semifinal this week in Valladolid. Despite this great momentum, the two players have decided to take different paths.
Osoro finds Virseda for a 3rd attempt
For its part, Aranza Osoro will be aligned with Vero Virseda in Malaga. This duo, already seen twice since 2024, is therefore attempting a third tryTheir first partnership lasted only one tournament. They then met again for a handful of events at the end of the season.
This time again, Virseda changes partners, breaking off its project with Salazar, whose results remained mixed. Despite some good performances (semi-finals in Doha and Brussels), their collaboration quickly showed its limits with early eliminations in Argentina, Italy and even Valladolid.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
