NOX LAUNCHES ON THE MARKET THE FIRST FORMAT OF PADEL DESIGNED TO AVOID CORONAVIRUS CONTAMINATION

Although it is not yet known how and when the return to the courts of padel will take place, it is clear that the clubs of padel and the players themselves will have to change their routines and habits in what is called the post-COVID-19 'new normal'. Many initiatives and protocols are being developed to minimize the risk of contagions by playing padel.

The ball of padel is one of the elements that receives the most attention because all players hold it with their hand at least when serving, which can contaminate it. While it is true that the FIP proposes in its protocol the use of a glove for the dominant hand among players, this alone does not guarantee that the transmission of the virus will be avoided. The glove for the non-dominant hand loses all its effectiveness, remaining contaminated as soon as a player touches a part of the body such as the face, a very common reflex gesture and difficult to avoid.
This is why NOX, sponsor of World Padel Tour, has developed a new format of balls for the padel , designed to prevent contagion from the coronavirus during play.

This format, which the brand has called PlaySafe, adapts its pack of four balls, unique on the market, by assigning each of the balls to a player.

The use is really simple. Before the match, the players will assign a number from 1 to 4. When the Nox Pro Titanium PlaySafe ball pack is opened, each player will take the ball with the corresponding number.

During the match, each player may hold the assigned ball in his hand, either when serving, or when picking up the ball from the ground. Players must avoid picking up other unassigned balls with their hands and can pass them by pushing them with their feet or with the racket.
Bullets padel Pro Titanium PlaySafe are the first of the products that Nox plans to launch as part of the PlaySafe concept, items intended to offer the best guarantees of health safety to both clubs and the players themselves.
