NOX counterattacks following comments by Valentino Gabriel Libaak and Leandro Román Augsburger on social media. The two Argentine players, who have been transferred to the Siux somewhat unexpectedly, also surprised NOX, which points out that their contrats were valid until 2027.
The players did not hesitate to hold very critical remarks towards NOX to justify this change, thus choosing to break their commitments unilaterally.
In this context, NOX wished clarify the facts and expose the actions taken “to preserve its image and contractual rights".
Here is the French translation of the statement originally written in Spanish:
"NOX wants to inform the padel community, as well as its fans et partners, recent events concerning players Valentino Gabriel Libaak et Leandro Roman Augsburger.
These two players, although having contracts in force until 2027, have taken the unilateral decision to terminate their commitments without valid justification, in violation of the contractual terms. This breach constitutes a serious breach of commitments made, for which NOX requires compensation from the players concerned.
Unfortunately, this decision appears to have been influenced by a toxic environment around the players, whose sole aim is to harm the reputation and good image of our brand. This situation, which has been going on for some time, intensified after the NOX CEO, Jesús Ballvé, filed a formal complaint to the argentine justice for undue appropriation when organizing the WPT La Rioja Open 2023. Some people around the players have shown conflicting interests to the well-being and sporting development of the latter, by pursuing only oneconfrontation agenda in contradiction with the values that NOX defends.”
“In the same context, players have recently made public statements which also harm theimage and NOX reputation. This situation is particularly hurtful coming from the players, while NOX has always supported the respect, commitment for sport and the development of its athletes.
From now on, NOX start the Necessary legal actions to protect his contractual rights and prestige that we have built with great effort in the world of paddle.
Finally, NOX would like to express its most sincere gratitude to all fans et supporters of the brand, to the families of players, to former players, to coaches, and medias. Despite the harassment by the entourage currently representing Leo and Tino, you continue to send us your messages of support. To all of you, a big thank you from the bottom of my heart.
