It was announced, the  coaching is authorized for all FFT competitions , provided that a strict framework is respected. This opening aims to  further professionalize the amateur and federal circuit , by providing players with structured support.

Coaching authorized in France, but...

 The following are affected by this authorization: 

  • The  Youth, Senior and Senior + tournaments , for all categories (of  P25 to P2000 )
  • The  Para tournaments Padel  (Padel Wheelchair, Deaf and Hard of Hearing)
  • The  team championships , all categories combined (interclub, interleague, regional divisions, etc.)
  • The  departmental and regional championships 
  • The  French pairs championships 

 General rules to follow 

  •  The coach must be licensed by the FFT  (padel or multi-racket license).
  • He must  present oneself to the referee  with his license and an identity card before the first match.
  • A coach can  advise several pairs or teams  during the same competition.

 Pairs Competition Coaching 

  • Each pair can  declare 1 or 2 coaches  for the duration of a tournament or championship.
  •  Both coaches cannot intervene at the same time , but can  take turns coaching during rest times .
  • Coaches must be  declared before the 1st match More  are not required to be physically present from the start .
  • A coach can intervene for several pairs provided that he identifies himself to the referee.  before each game .

 Coaching in team competition 

  • Each team can designate  a captain and an assistant captain , who will also act as coaches.
  • These two people must be  FFT licensees , and ideally licensed in the same club.
  • The two captains are  interchangeable , but cannot  coach only one player at a time, taking turns during breaks , never simultaneously.
  • During a team championship,  a coach can also be a player , subject to authorization in the regulations.
