It is one of the most popular associations of recent years that is making its return to the circuit Premier Padel. Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno this week they begin their second joint adventure on the occasion of the Italy Major , with the ambition to return to the top.
An original presentation
To announce their reunion, the two players opted for an original presentation. Facing the camera, the Spaniard and the Argentinian responded to several comments from fans mentioning their return. Mixing nostalgia and humor, the two men played along, notably responding to messages like: "We always come back to where we were happy" or "They won't have any rivals... on the FIP (French football pitches)."
A relaxed way to launch a project that is generating a lot of expectations. Because even if their first collaboration did not result in a major title, it made a lasting impression thanks to their level of play, their consistency and above all their connection with the public.
A look back at a pair that made a mark on the fans
Having reunited in 2021, Paquito and Di Nenno quickly found their place among the best teams in the world. Their rapport on and off the court captivated padel fans, making this duo one of the most popular on the circuit.
The Italy Major holds a special place in their history. In 2022, they reached the final of the Rome tournament before being defeated. This edition is also remembered for a now-iconic scene: Paquito Navarro singing the famous "Free From Desire" with the Italian crowd.
A first test expected in Rome
This time, Paquito and Martín return with a different context. Seeded No. 6 in the tournament, the pair benefit from a bye in the first round and will enter directly into the round of 32.
For their first match together in version 2.0, they will face either Rodríguez / De Pascual i.e Rubio / Ruiz .
Beyond the result, all eyes will be on their first impressions together. After several changes of partners in recent months, the two players hope to quickly rediscover the understanding that brought them success.
In a particularly challenging draw, the Italy Major will serve as the first indicator to see if this new version of Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno can once again become one of the benchmarks of the world circuit.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
