Yoan Boronad and Timéo Fonteny won the Open Central Padel Perpignan at the end of an intense final lasting more than an hour and a half against the surprise pair of the tournament, Benjamin Dufour and Hugo Cazaban, in three sets: 6/7 6/3 6/1.

The match took place in two very distinct periods. The first set, of exceptional intensity, highlighted the qualities of the number 7 seed. The pair Dufour / Cazaban was able to hold his own against the ts1, offering a remarkable level of play. This first act, very disputed, ended with a tie-break in favor of the outsiders: 7/6.

However, the dynamics completely changed in the second set. The pair Boronad / Fonteny engaged the steamroller mode, taking advantage of a clear fatigue among their opponents. Indeed, Dufour / Cazaban, tested by a big semi-final played that same morning and concluded in three tight sets, had difficulty maintaining their level of play. Result: 6 / 3 6 / 1 in less than an hour, with a final quick set.

This final will be marked by The incredible adventure of Dufour and Cazaban, real revelations of this competition. But also by the beautiful victory of Boronad / Fonteny, which crowns an exceptional year for both players.
