Le Premier Padel P2 of Valladolid will mark a turning point in the circuit. This tournament marks a symbolic stage of changes of partners, for many players and a new major decision already seems to have been made: Marta Ortega et Alejandra Alonso will no longer play together.
Without an official announcement yet, the registrations for the Valladolid tournament nevertheless confirm the trend. Marta will team up with Tamara Icardo, while Alejandra Alonso will be associated with Claudia jensen. Of them promising new pairs, which should not disrupt other existing pairs since this change occurs between the two pairs.

A quick separation that surprises. The young Alonso, still considered a gem of the circuit, and Martita Ortega, former world number 1, will have only played two tournaments together since their beginnings in Paraguay and a lack of results seems to have precipitated this decision (an elimination in the quarter-finals in Asuncion and in the eighth in Buenos Aires), despite the little time left for their duo to settle in.
Le Major of Rome will therefore be, barring any surprises, their last tournament together. A last chance to end their short adventure on a good note, before each writing a new chapter with partners with very different profiles.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
